Charlie has literally been in the entertainment business all his life. Which is something, not many children's entertainers can say. He really loves what he does and that shows in every performance he gives.
Since being given a magic set at the age of seven, Charlie (Roy Charles) developed a love of magic and entertaining people. All he ever wanted to be was a magician. He would often put on magic shows for his family but soon wanted to widen his audience, so started performing at such events as charity shows, school fetes. In fact, anywhere he could to gain more experience.
Charlie's dedication and practice soon paid off and at the age of 12 whilst he was performing at a local children's adventure playground Christmas show, he was asked by a parent to entertain the children at her son's Birthday party and as they say the rest is history.
Charlie soon started also adding juggling, puppets, plate spinning and balloon modelling into his repertoire and would practiced tirelessly everyday as he knew that this would definitely be the career choice that he would follow. After leaving school Charlie got his wish and started entertaining professionally.
To gain even more experience Charlie became one of the famous Butlin's redcoats entertaining thousands of guests daily performing different shows, which really helped hone his skills and he also learnt how to interact with people from all walks of life. After his first season he was chosen to run a team of six entertainers whose sole jobs were to perform shows for the youngsters in the children's theatre.
After two years Charlie decided to go it alone and since then his amazing career has seen him perform to literally tens of thousands of children and his talents have taken him all around the globe. He has performed on many of the world's luxury cruise ships. He has appeared on numerous television shows, entertained the children of many top star names and has performed at numerous prestigious events. He was also hand picked to perform for the Royal Children on more than one occasion.
